Archive Center Norrbotten: Closed Monday, Tuesday-Thursday 9:00-15:00, Friday-Sunday closed. Closed for holidays 22 June-10 August 2026.
The museum's premises for exhibitions, program activities, a café and a shop are located at Storgatan 2 in Luleå. The building is centrally located in Luleå, in Hermelinsparken.
Below are timetables if you want to visit us by bus. Get off at the Varvet stop.

The museum building is located in Hermelinsparken and has no guest parking. Street parking with a parking fee applies.
At Höstvägen 7 in the Björkskatan area in Luleå, Norrbotten Museum's operations for image archives, collections, archaeology, settlements, ethnology and photography are located.
Björkskatan also houses the museum's archives, library and research room, which together with the Norrbotten Association Archives make up the Norrbotten Archive Center.
We are located in the same building as Björkskatans Health Center. Entrance through the main entrance.
Below is the timetable if you want to visit us by bus. Get off at the Björkskatan Centrum stop.
Drive along Björkskataleden and turn onto Väderleden. At the second exit on the left, turn onto Höstvägen. Drive all the way to Björkskatans Health Center. Free visitor parking is available in front of and behind the building.
There is free admission to Norrbotten Museum and the Norrbotten Archive Centre and free access to all our program activities.
There is free internet that you can connect to through the RN-Guest network. To connect to the network, you must enter your mobile number to receive a code to log in with. You must agree to the terms and conditions when you connect your device.
In the museum building in the center of Luleå there is a cozy café where you can buy coffee, tea or soft drinks as well as some delicious pastries or a tasty sandwich.
The café is currently closed because the museum building is being renovated.
In the museum shop you can buy gifts and souvenirs that reflect Norrbotten's culture and traditions in various ways. There is also a large selection of books about and from Norrbotten.

All of our facilities have toilets near reception or cloakrooms. There are toilets that are adapted for people with reduced mobility.
All of our premises have cloakrooms where you can hang up your outerwear. There are lockers where you can lock your belongings.
At Norrbotten Museum in the center of Luleå there is a toilet with a changing table. Lockable stroller parking is available on the ground floor.
No animals except guide dogs are allowed.
You may photograph and film in the museum's exhibitions unless it is for commercial purposes and unless otherwise specified.

There is disabled parking outside our entrances.
There is a ramp with handrails outside our entrances. The ramps are not slip-resistant and can become slippery if it rains.

Outside our buildings there is grass and trees, including birches.
In the museum cafe, you can buy gluten-free and lactose-free coffee. The cafe is currently closed due to renovation of the museum building.
The museum's exhibitions have text in Swedish and English. There is a hearing loop in the event room where we give lectures. In the café you can connect a portable hearing loop.
Please speak to reception staff if you need assistance.
There is no audio guide or other portable equipment. There are no tactile signs.
In our shop you will find gifts and souvenirs that reflect Norrbotten's culture and traditions in different ways. Each product is locally produced or inspired by the county's unique landscape and culture.
The store also has a large selection of books about and from Norrbotten.

In the museum café you can buy coffee, tea, soft drinks, cakes, pastries, sandwiches and more. Various types of events are held in the café. In the café, you have free access to Wi-Fi and all the county's daily newspapers as well as Dagens Nyheter.
