The so-called Spanish flu hit the world hard between 1918 and 1920 – including Norrbotten. In just under ten weeks, 87 of Arjeplog's 3,000 residents died.

Historian Elisabeth Engberg tells about how the flu hit Norrbotten hard, especially in Arvidsjaur and Arjeplog – and how this came to be noticed throughout Sweden.
