Museum Day at Ebeneser

Between 1933 and 1962, unmarried mothers were hidden away in the old manager's villa in Karlsvik outside Luleå. There they gave birth to their children in silence. Who were the mothers? Who were the children?

Last winter, author and journalist Ylva Mårtens spoke about the maternity home at a packed Norrbotten Archive Center. Now everyone who missed it has a new chance to hear about the activities at the home and the mothers who stayed there.
