State Prosecutor Per Franzén and the war

Lars Gyllenhaal lectures about the Lapland War from a different perspective. When the war that hit Norrbotten in 1944 is depicted, the experiences of the soldiers and refugees are often at the center.

This lecture focuses instead on Haparanda's county prosecutor Per Franzén and his dramatic notes about bombing flights over Norrbotten. The lecture also highlights the wartime medical care in the county for German and Finnish wounded, illustrated with lesser-known photographs from the time.
