Nowhere in our country has salmon been more important to people and communities than in the north. But with the advent of industrialism, everything changed.

Johan Cederqvist, doctoral student in history at Luleå University of Technology, tells about the importance of salmon for people in northern Sweden. The lecture takes us on a journey from a time when the salmon never seemed to end the dry furrows of hydropower.

The lecture is free of charge and no reservation is required.
