During the 1920s and 30s, Sweden's wage workers got more and more free time. The question of what they would spend it on, and not least var It would take place, creating debate and ultimately political choices that still have a crucial impact on everyone's access to forests and land.

Tore Andersson Hjulman talks about the problems and conflicts that led to beach protection and the right of access.
