Anna Kihlgren from Lycksele was one of many Swedish lottery players active during World War II.
In March 1942, she went to Boden where Finnish war children were received for onward travel to foster families around the country. Anna's recorded story of her time in Boden has been made into a film, illustrated with the help of old photographs and newsreel films. It provides insight into the work of receiving the approximately 70 Finnish children who were evacuated to Sweden from 000 to 1939.
Petter Engman and Marianne Folkedotter from Västerbotten Museum show the film and talk about the background to the project, how they worked with research and pieced together the puzzle with archive material.
