Submission of material from archaeological investigations

The Norrbotten Museum archive is a public archive that receives documentation material from those who carry out archaeological investigations in the county. The Norrbotten Museum also has a prior decision on the distribution of finds from the National Heritage Board. The finds must therefore be submitted to the Norrbotten Museum while awaiting a decision on the distribution of finds.

Documentation material that is of importance for a commissioned archaeological investigation must be prepared and taken care of so that it is preserved and accessible.

Contact Norrbotten Museum when the assignment is being planned. Agreement on when and how the delivery will take place is regulated in an agreement.
