In this talk, Gustav "Rävjägarn" Bergström, one of the founders of Renovingsraseriet, highlights why caution in rebuilding and restoration is not just about aesthetics and nostalgia - but also about sustainability, climate impact and long-term societal benefit.
With humor, insight, and a passion for preservation, Gustav takes us on a journey through Swedish building history. We see examples of both good and bad reconstructions and renovations, and he explains why it is time to see our existing building stock as a resource – not an obstacle.
