How have our cultural environments changed over time? In connection with the 50th anniversary of the building conservation year 1975, we invite you to an archive café with a focus on re-photography of older buildings and cultural environments.

Norrbotten Museum has carried out a small project with rephotography, where the focus has been a selection of architectural monuments in Norrbotten.

Around the country, the anniversary is being celebrated with similar initiatives – several museums in Sweden are carrying out projects with re-photography. The method involves revisiting a place and photographing an older image motif anew. By comparing old and new images, it is made visible how our buildings and cultural environments have changed over time.

At the archive café, the museum's building antiquarians Kristin and Erica will talk about the project. The museum's photographer Rúnar will show images and answer questions.
